Rayo Wolfgang was born Rayvon W. in Detroit, Mi on May 29, 1984. RW grew up on the Westside of Detroit loving music and watching game shows. He learned his abc's at an early age watching scrabble. Rayo’s first passion has always been music and was turned onto it by his father who had a small singing group with his brothers down in Columbus, Georgia.
He participated in the marching/concert band (tuba) at Northwestern high school, where he would later meet Cle(Motown Menace). Down the line, his brother and his friends (Blood P & TD) started a rap group, called “the Trilogy”. Although a part of his brother’s rap group, it was hard to participate, being too young to perform at the clubs. At the age of 15, he linked up with Motown Menace and started to pursue rapping fulltime under the group name Barton House Entertainment. Now at the age of 27, he is still grinding and making even more music.
Rayo says, “What keeps me going is the people telling me over and over that I can make it if I just get up off my ass ... I’ve always loved to write music. I call it “the spark” when you’re creativity is at its peak. As of right now I’m at an age where I can say I’m wise, but at the same time I’m still young as hell. I want my music to bridge the gap between the younger and older generations.”
Be on the lookout for his new mixtape dropping April 20, 2012 called “The Loud Pack” and also his album dropping soon called “Smoke Signals”.
